Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free options are also available and with a little advance notice we will endeavour to cater for any other dietary requirements.
Upon your arrival and daily thereafter, you can enjoy our home baked cakes and a selection of teas or coffee in the lounge to help you relax and settle in.
If you don’t wish tea or coffee, there is always the option of a complimentary dram of Royal Lochnagar whisky or sherry instead.
For those who would rather not go out for dinner, you can enjoy one of our platters whilst taking in the view from either the dining room or the terrace, looking out over the river and the surrounding hills of the Dee valley.
Choose from either a Ploughman’s, Seafood or our personal favourite; the Game platter.
Served with a selection of bread, oatcakes and crackers these can be enjoyed individually or shared for those looking for a lighter option.
Garry has been making his own jams and marmalade for many years and is delighted to announce that his Sweet Orange Marmalade has recently won a Gold Award in the 2020 World’s Original Marmalade Awards.
To quote their website “These quirky awards were founded in 2005 by Jane Hasell-McCosh with the initial idea of preserving, growing and widening one of the most British of customs – making marmalade. They have gone on to generate a following far beyond Jane’s wildest expectations and have humour and a life of their own, inspiring people from all over the world to get involved.”
With each entrant receiving tasting notes feedback and a rating from Bronze, Silver, Gold or Double Gold, Garry was delighted to receive a Gold award with his first entry.
